So what's Universal been up to?

Thu May 15, 2008 at 09:14:50 PM PDT

Since Paul last posted here in December, some of you may have been wondering if his passionate support of Hillary Clinton has wavered, given her rather dramatic decline in electoral fortune since Super Tuesday.

Well, wonder no more.  Paul continues to be committed (and perhaps SHOULD be committed).

I present to you, without further comment, his latest commentary at hillaryis44.com.

[WARNING:  Do not venture below the fold if you have eaten within the past two hours, or if there are sharp objects within reach.  If you have an adverse reaction to Paul's screed, DO NOT BLAME ME.  I fucking WARNED you.]

We, the recommenders of this diary,

are concerned that too many issues oriented diaries are scrolling into oblivion due to the prevalence of candidate diaries in the rec list.

We may or may not agree that the candidate diaries are necessary and useful, but we DO agree that they should NOT have more visibility than issues diaries, even during the primary season.

We are concerned that long time valuable contributors to DKos are less inclined to devote time and energy to crafting substantive issues diaries, when the likelihood is that they will be pushed off the rec list by the inevitable daily onslaught of candidate diaries.

With this concern in mind, we, the recommenders of this diary, implore kos and the admins to retool the site as proposed below the fold:

Our soldiers' sacrifice has NOT been in vain.

Finally, a candidate for president who actually GETS it.  Full transcript of campaign speech below the fold, with video to follow.  Just for fun, read the speech before skipping to the end for his/her identity. Was it MY preferred choice, or YOURS, who finally had the courage to speak truth to power?

Mandatory Agenda for the 110th Congress

Fri Nov 10, 2006 at 02:00:00 PM PDT

Speaker Pelosi's announced 100 hour agenda is a great start, but everything the 110th Congress can accomplish (or attempt to accomplish) pales in comparison to three absolutely critical items:

#1: Repeal of the Military Commissions Act;
#2: Legislation of election standards that require a verifiable paper audit trail of electronic voting;
#3: Investigations.

Paper trail legislation is likely veto-proof, and repeal of the MCA is likely NOT veto-proof, but both position the Democrats as the party that ensured vote counting integrity and fought to restore our constitutional rights.
